Remainderman

A person who receives property that remains after a person with a life interest in the property has died. Children and grandchildren are often remaindermen.

For example, a husband puts property in a trust with the income to his wife for her lifetime.  When mom dies, the remaining estate goes to her children or issue. The children would be remaindermen.
