proceed by a person who has been given and understands all of the relevant
facts related to a given course of action.
The concept of informed consent often arises in medical
decisions. If the medical procedures and the associated risks and benefits
of the procedures have been fully explained to a person and that person understands the risks and benefits,
that person may give an informed consent.
